Our Story

A place that refuses
to be ordinary.

Candy Shop opened on 2300 East 17th Street with a simple conviction: that a café and a bar don't have to be separate experiences. By day, our counter is a stage for single-origin pour-overs and house-made pastries. By night, the same space transforms — lower lights, warmer tones, and a cocktail menu built on technique rather than trend.

We source locally whenever possible and import the rest with intention. Nothing on our menu exists because it's popular; everything is here because we believe it's worth making.

Day mode

Bright, unhurried, and built for conversation — or quiet work. Large windows, light tones, and the steady hum of an espresso machine. Wi-Fi is reliable; the playlist is considered.

Night mode

The same room, a different frequency. Lights lower, music shifts, and the bar takes center stage. Intimate, unhurried, and intentionally so — we'd rather you stay a while.
